George is the Director of CENTRIM, the Centre for Change, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the University of Brighton. He is also the Innovation Chair of the British Academy of Management (BAM). He has led research in innovation and entrepreneurship in areas such as managing open innovation for SMEs, peer-to-peer learning networks, innovation coaching, new product development, public-private innovation partnerships etc.
He has been the co-ordinator of a number of major projects on innovation and entrepreneurship such as INSPIRE which looked at best practices of Open Innovation in SMEs to support the professionalization of Open Innovation within SMEs (www.inspire-smes.com), SPARK which looked into the innovation ecosystem for Social Enterprises (www.sparksocialenterprise.org) and RAPPORT which looked at best practices to connect SMEs to the public or private research organisations. He was also the lead academic for the work that develop the innovation coaching scheme for the EIC Accelerator, the flagship EU programme for innovation in SMEs.
He is the founder of the Profitnet programme which has supported a number of peer-to-peer learning networks in UK, Ireland and South Africa with the participation of more than 2,000 SMEs around the world.
He has a first degree in mechanical engineering and a DPhil in innovation management from SPRU at University of Sussex. He is the author of a number of papers in academic journals, books and international conferences while he has designed and delivered many executives training and consultancy programmes.

Prof. Haick is an expert in the field of nanotechnology and non-invasive disease diagnosis. His studies include the research and development of nano-array devices for screening, diagnosis and monitoring of disease, nanomaterial-based chemical (flexible) sensors, electronic skin, breath analysis, volatile biomarkers, and cell-to-cell communication. His studies have generated more than 300 publications in the last ten years, in top-level journals in the field of nanotechnology, advanced/applied materials/chemistry, and medicine: and more than ten book chapters. Since he joined the Technion, Prof. Haick articles received more than 19000 citations. His H-Index ~76 (Google Scholar).
The technologies developed by Prof. Haick and his team have led to the production of more than 52 patents and patent applications – many of which have been licensed to six international companies and ground for 5 startup companies
Prof. Haick has received more than 82 prizes and recognitions, including the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (conferred by the French Government)[1], the Humboldt Senior Research Award, the EU’s Electronic Components & Systems (ECS) Innovation Award, the Changjiang Award, the “Michael Bruno” award for scientists of truly exceptional, etc. He was also included in more than 42 important ranking lists, such as the of the world’s 35 leading young scientists by MIT Magazine (2008), top-100 innovators in the world (2015-2018) by various international organizations, etc. Prof. Haick holds an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy Honoris Causa) from the University of Haifa.

Shayesteh Fürst-Ladani is Head of the SFL Group and Senior Vice President of SFL.
Shayesteh has longstanding experience in providing comprehensive strategic advice for development of products including small molecules, biologics, drug & device combination products, medical devices, in vitro diagnostics (IVDs) and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). Shayesteh has distinguished capabilities in negotiating the interests of organizations at senior level meetings with regulators.
Shayesteh serves as President of the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit associations Rare Disease Action Forum (RDAF) and Medtech & Pharma Platform (MPP), and she lectures in Regulatory Affairs at the IFAPP Academy, Kings College London.
Before founding and leading SFL as CEO, Shayesteh held senior level positions at various biotech and pharmaceutical companies, including as Head of Global Regulatory Affairs and Head of Regulatory Affairs for Development Products. In 2022, Shayesteh Fürst-Ladani joined Veristat, following the acquisition of SFL to support a growing number of biotech, pharmaceutical and medtech companies.

Dr. Yauhen Statsenko is a radiologist and an investigator in neuroradiology and psychophysiology. He graduate from Belarus State Medical University (MD) and Belarus State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Computer Engineering). Then he completed Ph.D. in Scientific-Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports (Sports and Rehabilitative Medicine). Technical background as an IT developer helps Dr. Statsenko to implement data analysis into medical research projects and to supervise studies in biophysics and bioinformatics. His team prepares diagnostic tools free to use by physicians. He currently lectures radiology at the United Arab Emirates University. The doctor’s primary areas of interest are neuroradiology and psychophysiology. He uses machine learning to analyze neuroimages and clinical data as well as to build diagnostic and predictive models of diseases (pneumonia, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, stroke, obesity). Dr. Anil Audumbar Pise obtained his BE (Computer Science & Engineering) from the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Maharashtra, India, MTech (Computer Science) from RGPV Bhopal India and his PhD (Computer Science) from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is previously worked for the Legacy Data Migration Project of WITS ICT as a Principal Data Scientist. His PhD research was based on the applications of e-learning platforms and Predication of engagement level of students to enhance e-learning platform using Deep Learning and Relational Reasoning aspects. To accomplish this, proposed a system that uses a Temporal Relational Network to identify facial emotions, given a video recording, and then maps the identified facial expression to a learning affect and achieved more than 97% accuracy for test samples of extended DISFA dataset. He currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Johannesburg and holds adjacent faculty position as well as International Advisory Board Member at Woxsen University India his area of interest is data science, deep learning, and relational reasoning. He has published various papers in peer reviewed journals, and he is editor for international journals and books.

Robert Guidoin PhD is professor of surgery (biomaterials) at Laval University, Québec, QC (Canada). He studied chemistry at the University of Nantes, France, from 1967-1970. After spending a post-doctoral year at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, he came to Laval University in 1971 to investigate the blood compatibility of medical devices, such as membrane oxygenators and dialyzers. Further to a specific training in bioengineering at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland, he was appointed assistant professor of surgery (biomaterials) at Laval University in 1976 before becoming a full professor in 1986. He was appointed as a member of the International College of Fellows of Biomaterials Science and Engineering in 1996, and Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in 1998. He was a member of the Sciences Council of Canada (1987-1992). He became Honorary Faculty at Chongqing University, China, the Medical University of Varna, Bulgaria, the University of Sichuan, China, and the Donghua University, China, in 1994, 2001, 2010, and 2013, respectively. He became International Honorary Faculty of the Society of Endovascular and Chinese medical Doctor Association in 2015. He entered the Canadian Who is Who in 1992. He has made important contributions in the field of vascular and endovascular grafts, heart valves, mechanical hearts, membrane oxygenators, auditor ossicles, breast implants and intra-uterine devices. He has trained many students (35 MSc, 21 PhD, 11 post-doc), and 12 visiting professors on sabbatical leave at his research facilities. During the last decade, he has actively participated in the 111 Program of the Chinese Ministry of Education at Donghua University, Shanghai, China. He was the founder and the first scientific director of the Quebec Biomedical Institute (1992-2000). He has published more than 300 scientific papers, 24 book chapters, 2 books as co-editor, and has presented his research at numerous meetings worldwide.
